between the republicans and the democrats have been the fact that obama wants to let the bush tax cuts expire for the wealthy and the in terms of spending cuts, the production republicans have just as of yesterday did a counter offer but nothing specific. there wasn't nothing to talk about in terms of cuts. >> bill: lack of specificity on what should be cut has drained the discussion into a simple let's raise taxes on the wealthy. >> yeah. there are no cuts to cover. >> bill: i don't know why kristen diane sawyer wants to raise her own taxes, do you know? >> i think there is truth in what kirsten was saying as far as it's much simpler to continue this same debate we had through the entire campaign to move on to that you subject. >> if you say you wanted to cut the department of energy or the department of education people's eyes glaze over. but it does seem to me, kristen, that there is among the network newscast there is kind of like, yeah, let's raise the taxes on the wealthy, that would be a good thing. that does seem to me that's there. >> unfortunate narrative that's been peddled

like he never suggest cuts is kind of absurd. >> bill: do you really think barack obama wants meaningful cuts in government? really? really? >> as much as republicans do. look, he got attacked all through the campaign for cutting medicare, right? so the people who claim that they want all these cuts, what do they do? they attack the president when he proposes cuts and they refuse to put anything specific on their proposal. what they sent back was just a number. >> bill: all right. okay. i got it. i got it. i got it. i'm just tired of this whole business. i think we should cut 10% across the board and then, you know, keep taxes the way they are and try to stimulate the economy by the private sector. plenty more ahead as the factor moves along this evening. >> i will tell diane. >> bill: charlie brown thrown under the bus by a church pastor in arkansas. how could this possibly happen in america? tell you what's going on. also, dennis miller having to deal with more of his money being taken away from him. d-man not happy about that and we hope you stay >> factor follow up segment

aapparent that barack obama has put no meaningfulnding cuts on the table. anybody who pays attention knows that. the president does not want a cut. he wants the big government. he wants to spend. in fact, he wants 500 million more to throw into some stimulus that hasn't worked the first two times he tried it. why do the american people say it's the g.o.p.'s fault when the president obviously isn't giving anything at all up? >> well, bill you know that and i know that in part because we watch fox news, and fox news reports it that way which is the straight forward way to report it. you can find that out from the other media, but you have to read it carefully because it's not apparent. all the conversation, all the discussion, all the news that's made in this whole discussion since the end of the election has been about what? it's been about tax rates on the rich. >> bill: right. >> that's been the whole story. the fact that the president hasn't come forward with anything meaningful on the spending side, especially on the entitlement side, it's possible to find it but it's not really e

. this barack obama made no campaign promises that he would cut spending, none. he didn't say he would reign in government, none. yet the american people said you know what? that's okay with us. you keep spending, you keep getting it up there and we will take our chances. do you think most americans understand this? >> not at all. and i think it's pretty easy to win elections when you give away candy that you borrow from the chinese. and i think the reason republicans lost is they didn't make the case. they didn't make the case sustainable. >> bill: what we did tonight mitt romney never did. he had made the economic case that we are making here tonight that, listen, all the cash, all of your 401(k)'s. all of your equities, all of your bonds, it's all gonna evaporate unless you stop the madness in washington. you can't have a president in four years borrow as much money as george washington through w. borrowed combined. it's impossible. it's crazy. you can't have it. if mitt romney had done that he might have won but he wouldn't or couldn't do it. last word. >> you know the irony

kill (bleep)! (bleep). >> bill: crowder was lucky emerging with a chipped tooth and minor cuts. he's not filed charges, at least not yet. talk points expects to see more violence like that as the country becomes even more divided. there is no question that the reelection of president obama has emboldened the committed left and angered the committed right. both sides are spoiling for a fight, but it is the left driving the division now. in recent weeks we've seen the agenda. a massive redistribution of wealth through taxation. a national move to legalize gay marriage, defining it as a civil rights issue. the first steps towards the legalization of drugs, mandated health insurance coverage of both birth control and abortion inducing drugs. also the confiscation of private property through an ever higher death tax. right now liberal america is more powerful than conservative america, even though there are more self identified conservative, according to the polls. what happened in michigan may be just the beginning. this is not a tranquil country right now. that's a memo. for the t
